This apartment consists of five rooms : the Guard Room, which opens on to the Queen's Staircase, the Grand Couvert antechamber, the Nobles' Room, the Queen's Bedchamber and the Peace room. The ceilings were decorated with the same divinities and planets as those of the corresponding rooms in the Kings apartment. Only the paintings represented heroines instead of heroes of Antiquity.
The construction of the Hall of Mirrors eliminated the last two small rooms of this apartment. The windows of these rooms corresponded to the last four windows of the Hall of Mirrors. Unfortunately, Maria Leczynska and Marie-Antoinette made considerable alterations to certain rooms.
