Charles Garnier
Born in : Paris - 1825 / Dead in : Paris, 1898
Membre de l'Académie des Beaux-Arts : France from 1874 to 1898

Charles Garnier remporte le Grand Prix de Rome en 1848. Son séjour en Italie, entre 1849 et 1854, marquera profondément son oeuvre. Il se rend également en Grèce et en Turquie. Il épouse en 1858 Louise Bary, née en 1836 dans une famille d'universitaires. Le couple donnera naissance à deux enfants.
