Bernardo Cavallino
Born in : Naples - 1616 / Dead in : Naples, 1656
Bernardo Cavallino began working there for art dealers and various patrons. He specialized in small religious paintings on canvas and copper, often of Old Testament subjects, saints, and Roman mythology. He was influenced by many sources, including works of Spanish, French, Netherlandish and Italian artists. Only eight of his attributed paintings and four drawings still exist.
