 | Description | |
Nubia was traditionally considered an enemy of Egypt, even during the long periods when Egyptians and Nubians were peaceful trading partners. These inlays represent Nubian prisoners, though the blue robe may have belonged to an Asiatic prisoner. They probably adorned a royal thone or footstool as a decorative motif symbolising the pharaoh's dominion.
