This tube was intend to hold kohl, an eye cosmetic frequently use be the Egyptians. The tube was carved in the shape of a palm capital and decorated with floral motifs. The wide band in the center depicts a group of musicians and dancers. The decoration was lighly incised and filled with colored paste.
