 | Description | |
This overlifesize head represents a futher and unexpected modification of that early style, showing firm full flesh and restrained modeling. Note the attentive modeling, just in front of the ear, of the bony processes that unite the facial bones and jaw to the skull. This feature characterizes royal images of both Akhenaten and Nefertiti and contributes significantly to the naturalism period.
