Description

Carnelian barrel-shaped seweret beads were often placed at the throat of a mummy as early as the Middle Kingdom and the seweret neclets dispayed here were certainly placed in the same position on the mummies of the wives of Thutmosis III. Two of the women apparently also wore necklets of small faience beds.
