 | Description | |
This spoon, from a set of three, was made for a male member of the Oelhafen family of Nürnberg. The family's armorial device, a rampant lion holding an oil pot, appears at the top of the handle. The inscriptions on this handle may be translated as “Who trust in the Lord, no evil will pursue”.
