Description   

The piece belongs to a relative early category. On the front, three episodes from the story of Theseus and Ariadne. Read from left to right, the scenes are : Ariadne giving a thread to Theseus before he enters the Labyrinth - Theseus slaying the Minotaur - The sleeping Ariadne being abandoned by Theseus on Naxos, where she will be awaked by the god Dionysos.
