 | Description | |
The chest that contained most of the Sit-Hathort-Yunet's jewelry has been restored in ebony incorporating the inlays that had fallen around the remains of the jewelry. The sides are panelled with ivory strips framing false doors of carnelian and faience and djed pillars of wood covered with sheet gold. The inlaid gold Bat (sacred to the goddess Hathor) on the lid probably alternated with the ivory plaques inscribed with the name of Amenemhat III that are now mounted on the smaller box above in the case.
