Description   

This is one of the twenty-seven portraits by Cézanne of his wife. It was painted about 1890 in the artist's house on the Quai d'Anjou (Paris). Cézanne's paintings of his wife are compositional studies bases on the figure rather than portraits in the conventional sense.
