Description

One day Jesus takes Peter, John and James up to a mountain. While Jesus is praying the appearance of his face changes "and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning". At that moment Jesus is seen to be talking to Moses and Elijah. The subject of the conversation is Jesus's death which is going to take place in Jerusalem. Despite feeling tired Peter and his friends don't sleep and Jesus can be seen talking to Peter and 2 disciples. A cloud covers Jesus, Moses and Elijah, and the others hide on the edge of the mountain out of fear. A voice from the cloud says "This is my beloved with son, whom i have chosen; listen to him." In this scene Jesus is shown on the top of the mountain surrounded by light. He is talking to Moses and Elijah. Peter, John and James are hiding on the edge of the mountain.
