 | Description | |
Ankh-khered-nefer, the "great inspector of the palace", commissioned the statue for the temple at Tell el-Maskhuta. Statues like this encouraged visitors to recite offering prayers, ensuring the deceased received external sustenance. The sides are incised with two triads of gods. The back bears the owner's titles and the cartouche of Osorkon II.
