 | Description | |
Saint Peter Martyr, a Dominican friar, was murdered with a sword and cleaver which became his attributes. These panels are from the same altarpiece as the images of Saints Michael and Lucy, displayed nearby, painted for the church of San Domenico in Ascoli Piceno. The chapel for which the altarpiece was commissioned was dedicated to Saint Peter.
