 | Description | |
The landscape is that of Cézanne's native Provence. Cézanne uses a variety of hatched brushstrokes to unify the meadow, trees and architecture. He paints the foreground in short parallel strokes. The foliage is formed by stokes applied at different angles. Dark lines define the roof and walls of a house.
