Description

The pathway Sisley depicts here lay on the south bank of the Seine and ran between the villages of Veneux and By near the artist's home at Moret-sur-Loing, south-east of Paris. Sisley was a master in capturing the fleeting effects of nature, such as the movement of clouds and their reflections in water.
