Saint Catherine receives a ring from Christ, referring to her vision of their 'mystic marriage'. She is watched by Mary and a couple standing in a doorway. The haloed man on the left is probably Joseph. The quick, gestural application of paint, similar to a sketch, and the graceful elongation of the figures are very typical of the artist's work.
