In the central panel showing the Crucifixion, subsidiary scenes are included in the background. On the right, Christ can be seen praying before his arrest. On the left, he is carrying the Cross. Judas is hanging from a tree behind. The white-robed figure on the left is the donor, a monk from either the Carthusian or the Premonstratensian order.
On the right-hand shutter, Christ is taken down from the Cross.
