History
The successor of Rinnojino-miya prayed national peace by burning a holy fire for invocation in Edo period. Although, Meiji government ordered Buddhist temples to be separated from Shinto shrines, this building was excused to remain. It was because the purpose of this building became for the use of office. Therefore, the official name of this building is Kamishamusho (Upper office). The Kitouden also is used for wedding ceremony.
