The Boardwalk hotel casino is located on the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. Originally part of the Holiday Inn hotel chain, it was built before the era of the mega-casinos, and is consequently tiny in comparison to many of its neighbors. It has 654 rooms compared to the 5,000 room MGM Grand. It was acquired from Mirage Resorts by the current owner, the MGM Mirage company.

Description
Most visitors to Las Vegas would argue the best feature of the Boardwalk is the location on the "Strip": in between the plush Bellagio and the Monte Carlo and across from the Paris, Aladdin and MGM Grand.

The hotel's Coney Island theme can be seen in it's facade with an original 1906 parachute drop ride and a wooden (non-functioning) roller coaster. (Hotel employees report that people frequently come into the hotel demanding to ride the roller coaster.) The hotel is comprised of 3 distinct buildings all built at different times. The newest building is the 16 story tower built in 1996. The Steeplechase building is 6 stories and the Luna Park building was the original 4 story structure when the hotel first opened.

Some of the hotel features include a wedding gazebo, two small pools, and several restaurants including a 24 hour Surf Buffet and a sushi bar.

As of 2005 plans are being developed to tear this property down to be replaced by a much larger project.
