Built in 1420, the palace was originally named Yong An Gong (Palace of Eternal Safety). In 1535, it was renamed Yong He Gong and was renovated several times during the Qing Dynasty.

Description   
This palace consists of two halls. The rear hall is called Tong Shun Zhai (Studio of the Same Success). In the Ming and Qing dynasties, imperial concubines used the palace. Imperial Concubine Tian of Emperor Gongzhen of the Ming Dynasty and Imperial Concubine De of Emperor Daoguang and Imperial Concubine Jin of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty once lived here. The words "Yong He" mean "eternal harmony". Yong He Gong and Chang Chun Gong (Palace of Eternal Spring), which is one of the six western palaces, are located symmetrically along the centra.
