Description
Based on idea sketches by the patron, the gardener's house, with its living room for the royal gardener Hermann Sello and the Crown Prince's guests such Alexander von Humblot, was enlarged in 1830/1834 to include a tower with water containers, a servant's house, and a temple-like pavilion. The expansion of the northern arcades in 1836/1844 gave the ensemble the present name. The interior rooms, modeled after examples of antiquity, have a pool on the western side which the Prince actually intended for bathing.
